Briza Publications author Erik Holm is an entomologist whose fascination with the world of insects began in his childhood. Growing up in Magaliesberg, Erik Holm spent much of his time studying insects and trying to understand their world. He went on to make a career out of his hobby, becoming Head of the Entomology Department at the University of Pretoria.
Currently he is one of South Africa’s pioneering entomologists who has written number scientific publications. He has become popular as a result of his appearance in radio programs, such as Hoe verklaar jy dit. Erik also writes a regular rubric for the Beeld and acts as an adviser on ecologically feasible farming and other practices.
