Briza Publications author Frits van Oudtshoorn grew up on a farm in the Limpopo province of South Africa, where he developed a keen interest in grasses and the natural environment. Fritz holds a Masters degree in Nature Conservation, specialising in Ecological Restoration. For a living he does agricultural training and veld management consulting as well as propagating non-commercialised palatable grazing grasses and indigenous ornamental grasses.
His companies include Africa Land-Use Training and Working on Grass. Frits is author of the books Guide to Grasses of Southern Africa and Veld Management – Principles and Practices.
