Briza Publications author August Sycholt has lived and worked as a freelance writer and photographer in southern Africa for many years. His work focuses on the human diversity, the unique animal kingdom and the fascinating landscapes of southern Africa, whose untouched regions he has got to know on his countless safaris. He is the author and photographer of numerous photographic books, half a dozen travelguides, countless magazine articles and many documentary films. His passion is the people, the wilderness and landscapes of southern Africa and he has continuously drawn attention to the plight of the animals in Africa’s threatened wilderness.
